Mental Health Services at HPA/LiveWell in Albany, NY

For those experiencing mental health concerns, it can be difficult to determine where to seek help. A simple web search, for instance, can yield many different results about where to turn. By definition, mental health services are services that focus on the “diagnosis and treatment of mental illness to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life”. These services are available at HPA/LiveWell for those living in the Albany and Capital District areas of New York.

Look for Comprehensive Services When Seeking Care

What types of mental health services are available at HPA/LiveWell? Our comprehensive services provide treatment for depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), eating disorder treatment and many other mental health conditions.

Once you have selected your mental health provider, what will the process be like? After an appointment is made, an assessment will take place with a mental health provider. In the assessment, or first initial appointment, a variety of questions will be asked about the concerns the patient is having. These questions will relate to the symptoms they are experiencing, their family and work background, and medical information.

After this first initial appointment, a treatment plan will then be developed—this is designed to meet the patients’ individual needs. The treatment plan will focus on reducing symptoms and outline goals for the patient to gain relief and help them improve the quality of their life.

At HPA/LiveWell we use a “goodness of fit model”, which means our case managers will follow up with each patient early on in the treatment cycle to assess whether the patient and therapists are a good fit with each other.  The patient/therapist relationship is a primary component of effective treatment.

At HPA/LiveWell in Albany, NY we can offer specialized, compassionate care to meet your mental health concerns with comprehensive mental health services. Call us at 518-218-1188 to schedule an appointment today!
