Understanding and Treating Binge Eating
This parent support group will discuss how to identify, understand, and overcome binge eating and is hosted by licensed psychologist Ross Krawczyk, PhD.
Topics to be covered:
- Binge eating and out-of-control eating
- Weight control and healthy eating
- Emotional eating and coping with stress/anxiety
- Helping a family member with disordered eating
Please bring your own questions and concerns as well.
Dr. Ross Krawczyk is a NYS licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of eating, body image, and weight-related disorders. He also works with a variety of issues in health psychology including weight management, cardiac rehabilitation, and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Krawczyk earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of South Florida in 2013 and completed his pre-doctoral internship at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at The College of Saint Rose.
He maintains an active research program at the college focusing on his areas of specialty. He has authored or co-authored over 20 scientific papers, book chapters, and professional conference presentations. Dr. Krawczyk is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.
