HPA/LiveWell was founded in 2009 by Dr. Julie Morison. Dr. Morison wanted to meet the needs of the community by helping people make the change required to live their best lives. Since then, she has become a recognized leader in evidence-based, outcome-driven programs for eating disorders.
Dr. Morison had a vision to build a practice based on trust, mutual respect, and research. One of the central components for all of HPA/LiveWell’s services is that each person should be treated like a member of our own family.
Starting with a hand-drawn sketch of a new office and a desire to reach an underserved population, we have grown from a team of three clinicians to more than 25 today.
As our practice grows and we expand our reach to serve people across New York State, HPA/LiveWell continues to be driven by a culture of values and an unwavering desire to help people get better.

At HPA/LiveWell, we believe:
- Treatment should allow people to remain “in their lives”
- Collaborative, team-based treatment approach in all we do
- Patient-driven, individualized treatment plans
- Professional development and growth for all staff, including clinical supervision
