Joyce DeWitt-ParkerDr. Joyce DeWitt-Parker is a psychologist licensed in New York State. She earned her doctorate in counseling psychology at the University at Albany and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Albany Psychology Consortium (Albany Medical Center, CDPC and Stratton VA Medical Center). She has over 20 years’ experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse adolescents, college students and adults. Dr. DeWitt-Parker treats a variety of clinical issues including depression, anxiety, disordered eating and body image concerns, recovery from trauma and relational issues. Her health psychology experiences include working with individuals diagnosed with chronic medical conditions.

Dr. DeWitt-Parker has developed APA Proficiency in sport psychology and has over 16 years’ experience working with athletes who wish to enhance their performance and deal with pressures, injury, rehabilitation or career transitions. She integrates a variety of treatment approaches including positive psychology, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy and CBT, while respecting each client’s interpersonal and cultural strengths. Dr. DeWitt-Parker is a member of APA, Division 47-Sport and Exercise Psychology, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the Academy of Eating Disorders. She is recognized by the National Registry of Health Providers in Psychology.
